Live mother-tongue reading · children, teens & adults

She can talk to her grandmother. She just can’t read what she writes.

ReadBanyan teaches children who already speak their mother tongue to read the script — live, with a real teacher, in six weeks, ending in a graduation with a certificate. Now enrolling Odia and Bengali.

Why it matters

So the mother tongue doesn’t skip a generation.

Your child chats happily at home — but hand them a storybook, a festival card, or a note from their grandmother, and the script is a wall. English-medium school will never teach this. ReadBanyan is the bridge: in six weeks, “I can’t read this” becomes reading a passage aloud — the kind of moment that makes a grandparent’s day.

How it works

Live teaching, gentle practice, a real finish line.

Two live classes a week

One to learn new letters, one to read them aloud to the teacher. 35 minutes each, six weeks, in a tiny group of ten.

Five minutes a day

Short daily practice on WhatsApp between classes — a voice note, a tracing sheet. Not homework battles.

A teacher who notices

The teacher tracks the exact letters your child mixes up and brings them back until they read cleanly.

They graduate

Each child reads a passage aloud and earns a named certificate — proof to show grandparents.

“Why pay when there are free apps?”

Because an app can’t hear your child read.

Tracing apps are fine for practising a letter. But no app hears your child read aloud, notices the letters they mix up, or claps at their first full sentence. A live teacher does.
